Saturday Scramble...

ScramblesIt's Saturday and I actually ended up with a few minutes to kill... at least until I make a dash to my hometown, go to the bank, go grocery shopping, and take someone lunch and a check...

Times like this, I just sit back and laugh at the mayhem.

In my personal news, I've now passed both the practical and the written exams for my Basic LIfe Support card. And I'm still kinesthetically challenged, although I'm finally learning some of the little tips I wish someone had bothered to share earlier (like how to put a hospital bed into "steer") that should make life better for me and the patients.

Book recommendation: Mountain Rescue Doctor I was disappointed that it didn't discuss the 304th RQS more, but it was a great read on the challenges of mountain SAR. It definitely piqued my interest.

ScramblesYou've all probably seen the main story right now but I found the Portland angle interesting. I know one of the Wackenhut contractors here, and the quote rings true for what I know of the people providing security for City of Portland. I have no doubt that they'd jump in if such a scenario happened here. Security Guards Stand By While Girl is Beaten
