I don't know how many of you are familiar with Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical "Cats" or the T.S. Eliot poetry that formed its foundation, but...

Today was one of those days with zero margins. (I just finished dinner a few minutes ago.) But some of the work was relatively mindless, and so I played my recording of the musical. And I amused myself by assigning parts to various people from the blog-world.

This is all in fun and no one should read too much into it. And it's an incomplete list, so if I miss you and you're just dying to get "your character" let me know. I'll see what I can come up with.

Some were obvious but some required more imagination. I'll put it behind a link for the faint of heart. ;)

If anyone doesn't know "their" song, email me and I'll be happy to oblige:

The Rum Tum Tugger: Checky
Gus the Theatre Cat: MikeN
Gus as Growltiger: Ruinator
Bustopher Jones: Rush Limbaugh
Skimbleshanks: AaronA
Macavity: Thor
Mr. Mistoffelees: GAP
Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer: WatchCat and Mr. WatchCat
Old Deutoronomy: Sforush

If you're wondering why the ladies are basically left out of this, it's because I'm not sure anyone would thank me for labeling them as the aging beauty queen Grizzabella or the domestic diva Jennieanydots. So we'll have to wait for a better musical for the ladies!

*grin* Still friends?

Yeah, I suppose if I gave in to "the dark side". But seriously Boy Scout like little 'ol me being a big mysterious criminal mastermind?????

My colleagues probably never saw CATS (I had to look Macavity up myself) so Macavity was never in their bag of tricks... but they did hang a Yoda label on me :)

Well, you've made the choice to be the Boy Scout...but I could see you being the mastermind if you wanted to be....
